We’re back with the Lucas Slalom Cup!

Lucas Seijo Fernández

One year after the first edition, the spirit of the Lucas Slalom Cup remains the same as the one that gave it meaning: to keep alive the memory of Lucas Seijo Fernández, a young skater whose enthusiasm and courage left a lasting mark on everyone who shared the track with him. That tragic day in September 2024 stopped time for his family, friends and for the entire skating community. Lucas did not return from his bicycle ride, but he left behind a legacy so deep that it continues to drive this project forward.

Lucas loved wheeled sports, and his contagious energy was unmistakable thanks to his iconic mohawk helmet; at every training session he showed a sincere passion and an uncommon discipline for his age. Galician Champion in Slides and Speed, Spanish Vice Champion in Jump, and with a promising future in his favourite discipline, Slides, he embodied the effort, joy and camaraderie that inspire this event.

The 2025 edition was a heartfelt tribute filled with emotion, unity and sport. More than fourteen countries gathered in A Coruña to remember Lucas with the same affection with which he lived every day on skates.

In 2026, the dates take on an even deeper meaning: the Lucas Roller Week will be held coinciding with what would have been his 16th birthday, from April 30 to May 3. Four days to continue building community, celebrating life and showing that his legacy goes far beyond medals and rankings.

Because in every jump, every slide and every shared smile, Lucas is still with us.
